1 - Saturday night's installment from the Fringe Festival featured a wild performance by 'Afrobombastic Soundsystem'... think afrosonic futurism - the promotional blurb (handily borrowed from an article on scoop.co.nz):
"...this afrocentric music event, features the cream of local musicians of African descent. The party features Imon Starr, Deva Mahal, Sheba Williams calypso band Ghettoblasta, Afronesia’s dancehall mash up, and DJ Stephano, playing his Afro-proto-disco styles."Here are the photos (apologies if you're on a slow connection...).
